Family-run manufacturer Buttero is proud to be Italian: honest, full of passion and strictly down to their origins. For every pair of boots, sneakers and each bag Mauro Sani and his sons rely on Tuscany’s finest quality hides. And their very own sense for form, proportion and style.
In their workshops, right in the midst of the Stabbia region, the artisans handle leather the traditional way: nowhere else than in the province of Maremma, they source quality hides, such as the Vachetta leather, turning Buttero shoes and accessories into a particularly smooth yet steady experience. Time and patience are Buttero’s secret ingredients: exclusively tanned with all-natural agents, their leatherwear develops a significant patina and a very soft texture along its journey. In shoe manufacturing each pair is hand-sewn based on their very own stitching methods, hammered and decorated alike. When it comes to final quality approval, whether it’s footwear or luggage, every item passes the critical eyes of Italian craftsmanship.
