are the operator of this website and of the services offered thereon, and are therefore responsible for the collection, processing and utilisation of your personal data and the compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and Telemedia Act (TMG). We are committed to dealing responsibly with your personal data.

As a matter of course, we comply with the statutory requirements of the German data protection regulations. In the following we inform you which personal data we collect, how we deal with your personal data, what rights you have and how you may exercise your rights towards us regarding your personal data:

1.     Scope and purpose of the collection, processing and utilization of your personal data

a)    when you visit our website When our website is visited, our servers temporarily store each access in a protocol file. The following data is recorded and stored without you needing to do anything: -    the IP address of the requesting computer, -    date and time of access, -    the name and URL of the retrieved data, -    the website from which our site was accessed (referrer), -    your computer's operating system and the browser used by you, -    the country from which you accessed our website and -    the name of your Internet access provider. This data is collected and processed to enable the use of our website (connection), in particular to guarantee permanent system security and stability and to enable us to optimise our website services as well as for internal statistical purposes. The IP address will be evaluated only in the event of attacks on our web infrastructure and for statistical purposes. Subsequent to this, your personal data will be deleted. b)     when you register a user account In order to create a user account on our website the following personal data is compulsory and you must provide it truthfully. This includes -    surname and first name -    address (street, house number, postal code, city, country) -    e-mail address, -    (main) telephone number -    gender -    password We require this data to allow you to place an order on our website without having to enter your personal data each time you place an order on our website and to process and administer our website, to check the input data for plausibility, i.e. to establish, structure in terms of content, process and amend the contractual relationship we enter into with you, via your user account. The data in the user account will be stored until the user deletes the user account or demands its deletion or the user fails to reply to a query regarding the maintenance of his user account. c)    while you are using the website as a registered user While using our website as registered user, we collect data for statistical reasons and to enable the website to function smoothly. In particular, the following data is collected: -    type, frequency and intensity of use of the website -    the length of your membership -    frequency of purchasing -    your shopping basket -    history of viewed products d)    when you make a purchase If you wish to buy a product on our website, we require various data to enable us to process the contract of sale. On our website you may purchase a product as guest, this means without prior registration. In this case you will have to enter your data for future orders again. In any case you must provide us with the following details: -    surname and first name -    address (street, house number, postal code, city, country) -    e-mail address Your data is used to deal with your order and to realize our contractual obligations towards you. We require your name and address in order to know with whom we have concluded a contract, and therefore towards whom we are obliged to perform and with whom we settle our account as well as to whom and where we are to deliver the purchased product. Your e-mail address is required to acknowledge the entry of your order and to confirm your purchase as well as for queries regarding the processing of the purchase. The following data is voluntary: -    delivery address -    address annex -    telephone/fax number -    date of birth You may voluntarily enter a differing delivery address, if the product shall not be delivered to your invoice address, and a telephone or fax number for an alternative way of contacting you. Your date of birth gives us security regarding your ability to enter into contracts. Upon full execution of the contract and the complete payment of the purchase price your stored data will be blocked for further use and only stored with care for tax and commercial law retention periods, to be deleted upon expiry of these periods, provided further use is not legally admissible or you have created a user account. In the latter case paragraph 1. b) applies with regard to the deletion of your data. e)    subscription to our newsletter Upon your consent, we use your e-mail address to regularly send you our newsletter containing information and offers regarding our products. At the bottom of each newsletter you will find a link to cancel the subscription of our newsletter. You may always cancel the subscription by sending an e-mail to f)    participating in campaigns on our website If you participate in a campaign carried out on our website, for example a competition or survey, and have consented to us using your e-mail or postal  address to send you advertisement regarding the products sold over our website, we require your name so you can participate in the campaign. Your e-mail address and/or postal address are also required to enable your participation in the campaign and to get in touch with you in case you are entitled to a prize from the campaign. 3.    Passing on data to third parties

We only pass on your data if you have expressly agreed to do so, if we are required by law or if it is necessary for the assertion of our rights, in particular for the assertion of claims arising from the contractual relationship with you. Beyond this, we will pass your data on to third parties to the extent that this is necessary for processing the contract or your participation in our campaigns (for example competitions). For this purpose, we forward the necessary data to shipping companies, banks and other service providers. These service providers use your data only for the purpose of processing your order and not for any other purpose.

4.    Cookies

Cookies, among other things, help to make your visit to our website simpler, more pleasant and more logically structured. Cookies are information data which your web browser automatically stores on your computer's hard disc when you visit our website. Cookies do not do any damage to your computer's hard disc and they do not transmit any of your personal data to us. 5.    Web analysis- and newsletter-marketing services

a)    Google analytics We use the web analysis service Google Analytics to continuously streamline and optimise our sites for users. For this purpose, pseudonymised user profiles and cookies are created and stored on your computer (see paragraph 4). The information produced by the cookie about your use of this website, such as: -    browser type and version -    operating system used -    referrer URL (the site previously visited) -    host name of the accessing computer (IP address) -    time of server request is transmitted to servers of Google Inc. in the USA and stored there. This information is used to evaluate the use of our website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services connected with the use of the website and Internet use for purposes of market research and to enable these Internet sites to be made more user-friendly. In no event is the IP address ever brought into association with other data relating to the user. IP addresses are anonymised to prevent them from being matched (IP masking). This tool, among other services, offers an analysis service for the evaluation of our newsletter. Next to an automatic detection and filtering of erroneous and undeliverable e-mails the tool assesses how many e-mails are being opened at what time, the client device, the e-mail format, how many recipients have clicked on an URL in the newsletter and possible extra activities (for example whether the forwarding option was used).

We use technical and organisational security measures appropriate to us in order to protect your data stored by us against manipulation, complete or partial loss and unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are constantly updated in line with technical developments.
