Five ways to style your Alden Shoes

  Since its foundation by Charles H. Alden in 1884, Alden stands for classic gentlemen’s footwear that represents America’s tradition of old-school, custom shoemaking at its finest. Every single pair of shoes is still handmade in Alden’s own manufacture in Middleborough, Newengland. Alden is known for its quality welted shoes in a traditional and classic style. Only highest quality materials are used in their traditional process of shoemaking. The unique factory is especially known for their Cordovan leather shoes. However, high-quality leather shoes are not only suitable for special events or to work. They can be combined with a high variation of styles and looks. In addition a nice Alden leather shoe evaluates every look immediately.

We created five looks from smart to casual, to give you an idea of how to wear your Alden shoes:

1. The Cap Toe Boot 

As all Alden Shoes the Cap Toe Boot was handmade in the U.S.. This elegant boot is crafted from Shell Cordovan leather, which was tanned by the Horween Leather Company. Shell Cordovan is a very specific leather made by hand and known for it’s longevity and comfort. Alden’s black Cap Toe boot with it's timeless design is easy to wear with tailored trousers or selvage denim. We teamed the boot up with a pair of Blackyoto Jeans and a Blackyoto Denim Jacket. Both products are original vintage pieces from Levis that were processed with a special staining, which transmits a rich black color.

2. The Tassel Loafer 

This classic Tassel Loafer is also handmade from Shell Cordovan leather. The traditional loafer gets a modern twist by its intense burgundy color. It’s the perfect combination of a traditional yet modern shoe, which suits every style, from smart to casual. We combined it with a pair of rolled-up trousers by Japan Blue and a structured blazer by Haversack.

3. The Suede Chukka Boot 

This classic open-laced summer boot is crafted from suede leather. Alden’s suede desert boot is a versatile choice for the warmer time of the year and is made to last. Pair yours with everything from denim to classic trousers. For a casual summer look you can also team them up with a pair of shorts and a striped shirt by Salvatore Piccolo. If your heading to the office, finish up your look with a vintage briefcase by Croots.

4. Longwing Blucher Oxblood 

The Longwing Blucher is one of Alden’s all-time-favorites. The full brogue Oxford is an absolut classic among leather shoes. The shoe`s upper is crafted from Oxblood colored Shell Cordovan leather. The elegant Blucher is easy to wear with cuffed jeans or elegant trousers. For a more casual look we paired them up with a simple light blue shirt by B.D. Baggies, a pair of Denim by Edwin and the classic G9 Harrington Jacket by Baracuta.

5. Indy Boot Brown 

The Alden 403 Boot is bettern known as the Indy Boot since Harrison Ford was wearing them in the 'Indiana Jones' films. The boot is inspired by classic work boots and features a stitched toe as well as a Goodyear Welted Neocork sole. We created a Urban Streetwear Look by combining the handcrafted Indy Boot with a Henley shirt by Merz b. Schwanen and a lightweight cotton Parka by Haversack.
