PRIVACY POLICY
We,

are operators of this website and the services offered here, and are responsible for registration, processing and use of personal data in the sense of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Act on Data Protection for Telemedia Services (TMG). It is our particular concern that we ensure proper handling of your personal data. For this reason we set out here an explanation of the manner in which your personal data is handled.
Our use of personal data is in accordance with the current legal provisions on data privacy. The following explains which data we register, how they are used by us and what rights you have towards us as far as the use of your personal data is concerned.
1. SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA REGISTRATION, STORAGE AND USE
a) When visiting our website When you visit our website, our servers make a temporary record of each access and stores it in a log file. The following data is collected and stored, without any action on your part:
• IP address of the requesting processor
• date and time of access
• name and URL of the downloaded file
• website from which our site was accessed (referrer)
• data identifying your operating system and browser
• the country from which you have accessed the website
• the name of your internet service provider.
The purpose of recording these data is to allow use of the website (connection set-up), to ensure continuous system security and stability, to permit technical administration of the network infrastructure, to optimise our Internet service and to compile internal statistics. The IP address is only evaluated in the event of fraudulent access to our network infrastructure and for statistical purposes. Your personal data are subsequently deleted.
b) When setting up a customer account If you wish to set up a customer account with us, we must request that the following personal data be truthfully supplied:
• Family name / First name
• Email address
• Gender
• Password
These data are required in order for you to place orders via our website without having to re-enter basic information; they are also required for conducting business and administration of our website and to check data for plausibility, i.e., to state, elaborate the content of or modify the contractual relationship via your customer account.
Data in customer accounts are stored until you delete your customer account or ask for it to be terminated, or if you do not respond to requests concerning continued maintenance of your customer account.
c) Using our website via a customer account When using our website as a registered and logged-in user, we record the following data:
• type, frequency and intensity of use of the website
• duration of your membership
• shopping frequency
• items in your shopping basket
• history of items viewed for statistical purposes and to ensure smooth functioning of the website.
d) Making a purchase When you are ready to make a purchase via our website, we require various data in order to process the purchase contract. You can also buy items from us as a guest to the website, i.e., without setting up a customer account. This requires that you re-enter your data at the time of the transaction. The following data must be provided to make a purchase:
• Family name / First name
• Address (street, house number, postcode, town, country)
• Email address
• Gender
• Telephone number
These personal data are used to process your order and for the purpose of handling any current contractual relationship. We require your name and address in order to know the identity of our contractual partner, i.e., to whom we are providing our services and for billing as identification of the address to which the item should be delivered. Your email address is required in order to confirm the receipt of your order and the purchase of the item; to fulfil our legal duties with regard to information; and to have a point of contact for any questions concerning the processing of your order.
The following additional data are registered on a voluntary basis:
• Delivery address
• Company name
The customer can opt to give a secondary address if the item is to be sent to an address other than the billing address.
Once the contract has been completely processed and the purchase price fully paid, your data will be blocked against further use and deleted after the fiscal and commercial provisions have expired, unless further use of your data is permitted under the law or you have set up a customer account with us. In case of the latter, deletion of data is as under 1b).
e) When signing up for our newsletters If you have given express permission, we use your email address to send you regular newsletters with information and offers. At the end of each newsletter there is a link which enables you to cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. You can also cancel the newsletter at any time by sending an email to unsubscribe@wordpress.p435719.webspaceconfig.de or (where applicable) you can unsubscribe via your customer account.
f) When participating in an initiative If taking part in an initiative via our website such as a competition or survey, and thereby giving express permission to use your email or postal address for receiving promotional material for the products sold on our website, we require your name before registering you in the initiative. We require your email and/or postal address to enable participation in the initiative and if necessary to contact you in the event you win a prize. We use your email and/or postal address to notify you of any new initiatives or new products. At the end of each email there is a link which enables you to cancel email advertising at any time. You can also choose not to receive further advertising emails by sending an email to unsubscribe@wordpress.p435719.webspaceconfig.de or (where applicable) you can unsubscribe via your user account.
2. REVOCATION OF CONSENT

14 oz. GmbH Münzstrasse 21, d 10178 Berlin, Germany
or send an email to unsubscribe@wordpress.p435719.webspaceconfig.de. Please understand that in the case of revocation of consent, certain services such as the newsletter and participation in initiatives are no longer possible.
3. DISCLOSURE OF DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
We disclose personal data to third parties only with your express consent, if required to do so by law, or if it is necessary for the assertion of our rights, in particular for the enforcement of claims arising from the contractual relationship. Furthermore we disclose data to third parties if this is necessary to process an order or to carry out our initiatives (e.g., competition). For this purpose, the required data is passed on to transport companies, banks and other service providers. These service providers use your data exclusively in the handling of the order and not for other purposes.
4. COOKIES
Cookies help in many ways to make your visit to our website simpler, more pleasant and more meaningful. Cookies are alphanumerical information files that your web browser automatically stores on your computer’s hard drive when you visit our website. Cookies do not harm your computer’s hard drive nor does the placing of cookies result in the transfer of personal data to us. We use cookies, for example, to identify you as a user without you having to log in. Their use does not mean that we receive new personal data on you as an online visitor. Most internet browsers accept cookies automatically. However you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that you will receive an alert each time you receive a new cookie. Deactivation of cookies may mean that you are not able to use all the functions of our website.
5. WEB ANALYSIS AND NEWSLETTER MARKETING SERVICES
a) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to structure and continually improve our website according to needs. In this connection, anonymised user profiles are generated and cookies are used (see point 4). The information on your use of our website obtained through a cookie, such as
• browser type/version
• operating system
• referrer URL (the previously used site)
• host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
• time of server request
are transferred to and stored in servers at Google Inc. in the US. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to examine other website- and internet-related usage for market research and website design purposes. This information may also be disclosed to third parties if required by law or where third parties are contracted to process the data.
On no account is the IP address linked to data associated with the user. IP addresses are anonymised so that no linking is possible (IP masking). The user may prevent the installation of cookies through the relevant browser software setting (see point 4); we draw users‘ attention however to the fact that in this case, full use of all the functions on this website is not possible.
The user can at any time revoke a user profile with effect in the future, or revoke his/her consent. To communicate such requests, the contact data under point 2 can be used. Further information on the web analysis service we use can be found on the Google Analytics website. Instructions for preventing the processing of your data by the web analysis service can be found at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
b) MailChimp
To send out our newsletter, we use the list provider MailChimp. MailChimp is provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 512 Means Street, Suite 404 Atlanta, GA 30318. This company is a member of the so-called Safe Harbor policy agreement, a special data protection agreement between the European Union and the US.
If you have signed up for our newsletter, the data you provide specifically for this purpose are transferred to MailChimp and stored there. After signing up, you will receive an email through MailChimp confirming your subscription (“double opt-in”). MailChimp offers comprehensive analysis of how the newsletter is opened and used. These analyses are group-related and we do not use them for evaluation of individual usage. MailChimp also uses Google Analytics and may link this to analysis of newsletter usage. You can read more in the section „About using Google Analytics“. Further information on MailChimp and their data protection policy is available at: http://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.
6. LINKS
We apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your personal data against inadvertent or intentional manipulation, partial or full loss or destruction and unauthorised access by third parties. Our safety precautions are continually being improved in accordance with technical development.
8. INFORMATION, AMENDMENTS, CORRECTION AND ERASURE OF DATA
You are at all times entitled to access with respect to your personal data as stored and to amend and correct or to block and delete personal data. You can do this either by choosing the relevant option in your customer account or by sending a request by email to unsubscribe@www.14oz.com.
